How do I capture a fingerprint or print at home?

We post you a free Print Taking Kit: an ink pad for a fingerprint, soft moulding putty for a hand, foot or paw print, and simple instructions. You take the print at home at your own pace, then return it in the prepaid envelope. No special skill is required.

Can you make memorial jewellery from ashes?

Yes. Our Lockets, Ashes and Memorial range seals a small amount of a loved one's ashes inside hallmarked gold or silver. We handle every memorial order with the greatest care, and we guide you through every step.

What metals and hallmarks do you use?

Every piece is solid sterling silver, 9ct yellow gold, or 9ct rose gold, fully hallmarked. Each keepsake is handcrafted and finished by our makers in Liverpool, England, and made to last for generations.

How long does it take and what does delivery cost?

Pieces are made to order, usually within two to three weeks of receiving your print. There is an option to pay additional for an express 3 or 5 day service. UK delivery is free, tracked and insured. Every order also includes a free Print Taking Kit.

Whose prints can I use?

A fingerprint, handprint, footprint, paw print or a few words of handwriting, from anyone you love, in celebration or in memory. A first baby, a wedding signature, a beloved pet, a final goodbye. We make pieces for a first footprint, for a wedding, for a goodbye, and for everything in between.

Cookies, and your choice about them

A few cookies are needed to make the basket and your sign-in work. Everything else — analytics and advertising — is set only if you say yes, and you can change your mind at any time.

The short version

When you first visit, a banner asks whether you are happy for us to use analytics and advertising cookies. Until you choose, none are set. If you say no, none are set, and the site works exactly the same. The only cookies that are always there are the ones in the first table below, without which the basket and signing in could not work.

Strictly necessary cookies do not need your permission, because without them the thing you asked for — a basket, a sign-in — cannot work at all.

Google Analytics, to see which pages are read, where visitors come from and where the site is confusing. It tells us about visits in total, not about you by name.

The companies that set these may also set cookies of their own on their own sites, under their own policies. The cookie banner’s details show the complete, current list: it is checked against the site automatically every month, so it is the list to rely on if it and this page ever differ.

When you order, and you have said yes

If you have allowed these cookies, we also tell the same companies directly from our own server when you place an order or ask for a Print Taking Kit, with your email address and telephone number scrambled so they cannot be read. It lets them count the order even when your browser blocks their scripts. If you have said no, nothing is sent. Orders placed through a funeral director or other trade partner are never sent to advertisers at all. Our privacy policy says more.

An embedded video

One page shows a video hosted by Google. It is not loaded until you press play, and when you do, Google may set cookies of its own. You can simply not play it.

Changing your mind

Use Cookie settings at the foot of any page, or the button at the top of this one, to change your choice at any time. Every browser also lets you block or delete cookies and site storage, usually under Settings, then Privacy — though blocking the strictly necessary ones will stop the basket and sign-in from working.
